Nowadays Pinterest become the genuine oracle for the bride and grooms to be. We can find there a huge number of inspirations from all over the world but also check which trends are the hottest during upcoming wedding season.

According to Pinterest, the new direction of nuptials in 2017 is all about personalization and having fun, from printed bridesmaid dresses in lieu of mismatched solids, to the taco bar riff on family-style buffets.

Wedding planning in Greece is an amazing adventure. During the traditional Greek Wedding, there is a lot of dancing, plenty of guests, so much food and very loud laughter! But there are also some unknown traditions that you never heard about which can surprise you a lot!

1. It’s a Family Affair

A true Greek wedding is a genuine family reunion! An average Greek Weeding has up to 400 guests who, very often, are related with each other’s. Small and intimate weddings are not the Greek stuff. So, when planning a destination wedding in Greece, make sure all your family is invited and then let you feel that Big Fat Greek Wedding charm!

2. All the Single Ladies

How the Greeks make sure they know which single lady present at the wedding is next in line to wedding carpet? The Bride will figure it out! But not by throwing the bouquet in the hands of lucky Chosen One. Bride writes a list of all her single friends on the bottom of her right shoe. The name that get rubbed off by the end of the night is the next Bride-to-be!

3. "Issaia Choreve"

During the ceremony, the Bride and Groom are unified with traditional Wedding bands that are like crowns. They are then led around the table by the priest three times as a symbol of joy.

There is also a very old Greek tradition that requires to “spit” on the Bride and Groom. Of course, no literally. But by pretending that spitting on the happy couple the guest protect them from evil spirits!

6. Dancing all Night Long

Another funny Greek tradition is Bride trying to squash the Groom’s foot during the wedding ceremony. The story behind this behavior is very simple. If the Bride manage to step on her Groom’s foot, she will have the upper hand during the Marriage!

The Greek Weeding is one Big Party Time. From the beginning till the very end everybody is dancing. The Greeks love dancing in a circle, holding hands and rotating in a counter-clockwise direction to their traditional Greek music. So before planning a Greek Wedding make sure you are in shape to survive this crazy night!

7. The Last Dance

Another funny Greek tradition is Bride trying to squash the Groom’s foot during the wedding ceremony. The story behind this behavior is very simple. If the Bride manage to step on her Groom’s foot, she will have the upper hand during the Marriage!

According to tradition the last dance of the wedding night is reserved for the Bride and Groom. During this dance, the other guests don’t accompany them but come up to the couple and pin money to their clothes!

M & S WEDDING STORY

This wedding was definitely worth registering it and watching over and over again!
M & S have it all, they are young, beautiful and in love. Their marriage was a pure success and we feel so blessed that we could be part of it.
The whole three-days event was special and unique. The day before the Big Day we organized an amazing beach party in Juan les Pins. The main ceremony and the wedding took place in a beautiful medieval castle nestled in the splendid surroundings of the French Riviera. The majesty of this place took all the breaths away. A lovely brunch the day after was the conclusion of this magical moments.
The decoration order for this wedding was very special. The ideal desire of the bride was immaculate white roses. So they were, pure white and perfect.
Also, regarding the entertainment, we were very busy to meet, and even exceed, all the expectations. A professional, talented quartet followed the ceremony and the cocktail. The dinner was beautified by an extremely gifted female singer with a violin. The dancing area was ruled by a very skillful Londoner DJ and a great and elegant saxophonist. The fun was increased by a Photo Booth where the guests were making some amusing photos to commemorate this beautiful moments.
For those who had to catch a breath after having fun we provided an extraordinary bartender who put bottles on fire and prepared exceptional cocktails from the very standard to those you haven’t even dreamed about.
For our organisation this moment will last forever. We watch this video and we have smiles on our faces. We sure, you’d love it to!
